I normally don't write reviews but I felt this box has earned it. I brought this watch box about 6 months ago and its still tough and functional. I'm an avid watch collector and felt this watch box gave me protection and safety for my time pieces. The lock feels a little flemsy but I wasn't expecting it to be impenitrable. In case you where wondering it locks on both sides and comes with two sets of little keys. My watches fit perfect and don't hit each other. The are normal size watches if anyone is familiar with men Movados; I do not like the bulky big watches so if thats what you have I can't vouch how they would perform in this box.

WOW! I thought I bought myself an aluminum box for my watch collection. WRONG. The box is actually all plastic with aluminum style/paint (call it whatever you want). The only thing keeping me from returning it is that at least the plastic is heavier than you would normally see and feels reasonably solid. The only metal on the stupid box is at the hinges, which are so flimsy and weak that my two year boy could rip them apart. What that practically means is that with the heavy lid open and nothing to hold it back, all the pressure is on the weak hinges and they will definitely break with daily use. I will be surprised if the hinges stay put. The shiny handle is so plastic. Yes the inside is nice enough but not eye popping. So, the bottom line, good looking case with reasonable built, but PLASTIC, PLASTIC, PLASTIC and IT IS NOT ALUMINUM. The seller should change the description.

I utilized two of these cases during my trip to my new overseas duty assignment and they are also great products!
And, I do recommend them to other time piece collectors as a mode/means to transport portions or all of their time piece collection.
I wish they have a larger capacity cases of the same design/style that would entice me into purchasing one or two for my collection.

I came across this item while browsing Amazon for watch cases. As a collector, I value secure enclosures for my watches. This case fits the bill to a T. It's not that much more expensive than the wooden cases common among collectors. The only negative is that it doesn't hold enough watches--from a collector's point of view. The cases I used before buying 3 of these cases held 20 watches each. My solution was to sell off part of my collection, which I needed to do anyhow.
In sum, these handsome cases are perfect for protecting a valuable watch collection, and they are mighty pleasing to look at.

case holds my collection of watches without taking up too much space. will work for large watches with just a little bit of shuffling. hinges are kind of weak (my only complaint).
