As long as you watches are "normal" size, this will probably work O.K.
I have many large watches, which are fairly heavy, and there is nothing but friction holding the watches in the bottom of the case.
The first thing I did was installed some "eggshell" foam rubber in the lid, which presses on the watches so they cannot come out of the little compartments. 1 7/8" x 3 3/8" are the approximate dimensions of the compartments; about 1 3/8th inches deep.
Now you can estimate if your watches will fit.

For $40 this box is fantastic. Not reading the other reviews, but I have had this box for 2+ years and have traveled with it during that time. Now it's time for more slots so I'm retiring this case. If you are on the fence...DO IT.
I store a variety of watch sizes from the Nixon 51-30 (x3) to the Nixon Player. There has been NO problems with this case.

As others stated, my watches were free to pop out of their individual spaces, so I placed a foam pad in the upper half of the case to take keep them in place. I also noticed that the compartments are not deep enough to prevent watches from moving side to side and hitting each other. This forced me to use every other compartment, so half the capacity is wasted. I will not use it for my more expensive watches.

We ordered this to store our watches (my husband and myself). The individual cases that came with the watches simply took up too much space. This box is very nice and does the job of storing all of your fine watches. We wish it had a clear window so we could see inside but that isn't a big deal since you have to open it to get the watch anyway. Nice box. Glad we bought it.

The subject of my review really says it all...the box, though interesting looking, doesn't lock and is exceptionally small. Furthermore, if it did lock, a strong judo chop could thwart the duty of the tiny, skeleton key lock. I'll protect my watches in something a bit more substantial, (besides just insurance), and would advise you to do the same if it's more than costume jewelry you're hoping to protect.
