In mode I, the winder will turn clockwise for 20 minutes and will rest for 40 minutes. The second II mode setting is for watches that require 4750 turns per day. In mode II, the winder will alternate clockwise and counterclockwise rotation every 15 seconds, then rest for 40 minutes. To find how many turns per day your watch requires, refer to your watch manual. The winder offers a gear bearing motor which makes the winder extremely "quiet." Lid too close to watchesAug 21, 2010
Was happy with until I got a 44mm case watch. The lid is way too close and it was touching the watch edges and it ate through the metal before I realized what happened. Plus the battery life is horrible maybe a month. It looks great for a sub 200 quad winder. Lastly the watches lie too flat and wouldn't wind one of my watches. If you plan to use the ac adapter and have sub 42mm case watches this will work else don't get it.
