In mode I, the winder will turn clockwise for 20 minutes and will rest for 40 minutes. The second II mode setting is for watches that require 4750 turns per day. In mode II, the winder will alternate clockwise and counterclockwise rotation every 15 seconds, then rest for 40 minutes. To find how many turns per day your watch requires, refer to your watch manual. The winder offers a gear bearing motor which makes the winder extremely "quiet." I purchased this quad watch winder in Burlwood finish as a Christmas gift for my husband. He has several Rolex and a couple Omega watches, of which he regularly wears 4 of them. Because these watches don't run on battery, they stop working if you don't wear them for a couple of days. So to solve this problem, I bought this quad watch winder box.
What an excellent purchase! It's super quiet, runs on electricity, has battery backup, and looks great on our dresser. It has a couple of different speed settings, and each winder has its own switch, so you can run them independent of each other. The winders rotate for 20 minutes and then sit idle for 40 minutes. The box came nicely packaged in a fancy dark blue satin box. It works just as described and keeps the watches wound at all times. So now my husband can simply open the box in the morning and pick which watch he feels like wearing that day. There's no need to pay more for a watch winder. This box keeps my husband's $12,000 Rolex running like it should. What a great product!
