The finish on the case is very nice. The "action" of the lid as it opens and closes is fantastic, feels very solid. The interior felt lining is also very nice. I really only have one minor complaint: The case will only hold pens that are 6" or less in length. My S&W Tactical is 6 1/4" long and won't fit.

Agree with the review by "Consumer Review". This is a great pen case. Construction is very solid, and the glossy lacquer finish on the wood is handsome. Pens looks great. Note that the wood border on the glass top covers the leftmost and rightmost pens when the lid is closed, so put your crappiest-looking pens there :-) This isn't a design flaw...the case is making good use of space and the border looks great when the case is closed.
