The list price is misleading and the sale price is a steal!Jun 24, 2008
By JanetCinNC With a list price of $100, I expected a nice pen case. What I got was a BEAUTIFUL case that I would have thought cost easily twice the list price.
The case is very heavy and appears to be wood covered in leather. The shaped tray for the pens is apparently plastic, but it seems very sturdy and is covered with a suede-like fabric. The lucite window is thick and sturdy. The lock operates smoothly and is also sturdy. The case is not air-tight, so you'll still have to dust your pens, but it will keep your pens from "walking off."
The only problem is it holds more pens than I have to store. I'll need to buy more pens!

Casual Collector CaseApr 20, 2009

Based on the reviews already posted it seemed like a safe bet to buy this case for my small collection of pens. It is very nicely put together and for the money is very good value. The white stitching is not as obvious in real life as it appears in the picture. I like the angled presentation of the pens. Just a couple of comments... the cord on the inside left of the case that stops the lid falling backward when open gets in the way unless you are careful when closing it, and larger pens sit higher because the channels seem to be made for standard sized pens. Overall I am very pleased with this case and highly recommend it.

Very Complimentary For My Waterman, Yard O Led, & Rotring PenshNov 11, 2010
By Christopher Wilson It has just been recently that I have renewed my interest in writing instruments. Being an avid watch collector, I came to understand the same "draw" for the impeccable attention to detail and appreciation to extremely tight tolerances. I began with a Porsche Braided SS pen and end up finding myself not thinking twice paying $400.00 plus dollars for a "writing instrument". I had to have a display case worthy of these works of art. I ordered this one thinking how much I liked the look of it "online". I was wondering if I would be disappointed when it arrived. Quite the opposite; this display case displays on an angle with a Lucite window. I think I would have preferred glass but the this see-through material did not disappoint. The pens are cradled in a plush valour material that compliments each instrument as though it was on display for viewing. Long story short; BUY IT! I plan on another as I see my collection growing.
I highly recommend; if you are like me and want only the best (bang for buck), then buy this, no bout a doubt it!

Nice caseMay 01, 2008
By P. Chevalier I'm a lover of fountain pens, and they needed someplace to reside that was safer than the beside-the-couch endtable (especially with a dog). Nicely made case balancing the needs of the pens and a consideration of the pocket book. Sure, there are far more expensive cases (that hold more pens than I need to have) with pricier materials -- but honestly, the pens don't care, and I'd rather buy more writing instruments.
Good value, good quality. Locks, too, in case you have wee ones around and don't want to have to clean up ink.
