The recipient of this gift absolutley loved it. I also ordered two bronze plates, one for his initials, and the other with my name and the date, to personalize it. The opportunity to personalize the box was one of my criteria in selecting from the many different boxes I looked at. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was only because I thought it would be nicer with a glass top for display as opposed to plastic. Otherwise, it has a beautiful color and the leather gives it a unique touch. GREAT GIFT, highly recommended!

I went with this option because it had good reviews and I liked the combination of the wood with leather accents.
Pros:
- It's quite heavy and substantial.
- Feels well made and quality.
- Solid, sturdy bright silver hinges.
- Opens smoothly and lid stays open easily.
- Good value for money compared to others I priced out.
- Nice finish. No chips or cracks. Seams fit nicely, stitching on leather is well done.
- Pillows are a good size, nestle nicely in the slots and are completely removable.
Neutral:
- Other reviews are right; Color is definitely more red in person. It's not bad but might be surprising if you're expecting it to be more brown.
Cons:
- Despite description saying "glass" it's actually plastic but, that said, it still does look good.
- Leather accents are little more croc print than I realized.
Overall I'm very pleased with it. Taking off one star for the fact it is sold as glass but is actually plastic. It's a gift for my fiance since he's started getting a decent collection of watches and no place to put them. I feel very comfortable presenting it to him and think he will enjoy it.

The box itself is shinier and a lot more of a redwood color than it appears in the picture. I wish the reddish color was more muted and matte so that it would have more of the wood-like look to it but its ok. I love the leather accents on the cover. The box itself is very well made and the inside is very nice. It has a high clearance and is perfect for big watches, which was my main concern. There is plenty of room for them. I have a 48mm Invicta men's watch with a 12mm thickness that fits just fine. Great product!

Bought this as a gift for my dad and was not disappointed. Even if the person doesn't own enough watches to fill up the box, its still a beautiful item to decorate the office or home.
