This is a great looking watchbox that far exceeded my expectations. It has the look and feel of genuine leather and is truely beautiful. All my watches have 44mm cases or larger and this box accommodates them adequately. The pocket is quite useful for storing extra links and stuff. Looks GREAT on top of my chest of drawers next to my jewelry box. I have researched a lot of watchboxes and I can't imagine a better buy for the money. If you want a classy look for a reasonable price...get this box.

I purchased this watch box as a gift for my husband for his birthday. He totally loved it! It's beautiful and comfortably fits large watches and bracelets. It also comes with a key (which we don't use) and if you have kids, it's not easy for them to get into. Very nice for the price, highly recommend it.

I bought two of these despite other bad reviews because I needed cases that would fit in a thin drawer. The fake gator is cheezy and the case does not have pillows. It has plastic, bendable watch holders. Don't waste your time/money.

First, this is a stunningly well-made and beautiful box, inside and out. I don't know if it is genuine leather, but it looks, smells and feels like it is but since there is no marking on it about being genuine leather, it may not be. The craftsmanship is flawless. Inside feels and looks as nice as the faux suede inside the finest gift boxes like those from Invicta. The dividers are sturdy wood instead of cheap cardboard and the lockable latch and silk stay make for luxury appointments. Even the most particular, picky person will love the quality.
Each of the 12 compartments has plenty of room, top to bottom, to fit ANY size watch, and instead of pillows, the smart people who made this box used heavy metal cuffs that are sturdy yet easy to shape and are nicely covered with the same faux suede as the inside of the box.
Now for the caveat: The ONLY thing keeping this from being a PERFECT box and deserving of 5 stars is that they didn't make the compartments WIDE enough to accomodate today's huge watch faces. IF your ENTIRE collection consists of VERY large watches like the largest Invictas or most of the Swiss Legend line, the crown of one watch WILL knock into the side of the case of the watch to the right. Also, you can't put a huge watch in either of the far right compartments because the crown will stick out over the edge and keep the box from closing properly. I solved this by putting my medium-sized watches to the right of each of my largest ones and meduim-sized ones in the righthand compartments. You can NOT put 12 HUGE watches in this box, so consider yourself warned.
All things considered, I LOVE it and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I had enough watches to justify another $40.
