I received my watch box today and I love it. I just came back on line to get a second one!
1. The packaging it arrives in is top notch. It comes in a very heavy outter box and is wrapped in fabric and foam inside the box. Then that outter box was packed in a large shipping box, with plenty of popcorn protecting it. A sticker on the outside of the shipping box warns UPS to be careful with it. Nice presentation...
2. Although the photo shown on this web site makes the interior look tan, it is medium grey. Not even close to the photo color. I would have prefered the tan, but the grey works nicely with the black finish of the wood. And, it clearly states in the item description that the interior is grey.
3. The standard stench that comes from new watch boxes was not too bad with this one. Usually, I have to air out new boxes for a day or two (outside) before I can stand the smell.
4. The box is well made and heavy. No cheap wood or other products here.
5. The LOOK of the box is stunning. Very handsome display. I immediately filled it with watches and it displays the collection nicely.
6. I like that the box has a huge window. I do not like watch boxes that require you to lift them open to see which watches are inside. When you have well over 100 watches, that becomes a pain...
Improvement:
The only thing I would improve with this watch box is the size of the slots. Watches are getting larger and larger these days and box makers need to start making wider slots. I was able to get some of my 47mm Invictas in here, but many were too large. That is not out of the ordinary for watch cases, so I don't hold it against this one. As I already stated, I am buying another one, so I obviously love the one I have. Most of my collection should fit in the slots...
Bottom line:
Great watch box at a great price. And, the shipping was very fast!

One of the best gift that I have given my husband. He loves to collect watches and this box is an elegant piece in our bedroom. Great craftmanship and has a really polish look with the lacquer. He likes really heavy big watches and they fit on the watch pillows with no problem.

Just as others have stated, this case came beautifully packaged. I originally wanted the cherrywood version, but the black exceeded my expectations. Its very fine quality. I have had it for seven months and it has not lost its luster. I recommend this case for anyone. A great buy!

I purchased this box as a birthday present for my honey. The box arrived on time and was very well packed for shipping. The quality and craftmanship is well worth the price. It is absolutely stunning. There is plenty of room in each compartment with a lot of clearance.
I considered buying the type of box with the drawer to save some space. But my honey loves to look at his watches all at once. He keeps opening the lid to admire his collection and the lovely watch box. He loves his present. A really great gift.

This is a gorgeous box, finished in a rich, shiny piano black, with an equally rich mid grey faux suede like interior, which covers not only the well made pillows, but every other interior surface as well...the pics do not do it justice. Very elegant. The sturdy hinges and hardware gleam in chrome plate, setting off the whole look with a bit of monochrome sparkle. The grey interior not only contrasts richly with the black exterior, but shows off each watch beautifully, as it is a darker contrast to the band/strap/bracelets, but the typical light dial as well. I also like the fact that I can see all 20 of my watches, those boxes that have an equal amount of space typically do so in two (or more) levels, meaning that you basically 'lose' those on different levels.
Lastly, the packaging was safe and beautiful, too...a white, glossy, inner box with cloth and styro padding..and talk about attention to detail...the front of that box fold flat allowing you to easily slip the box out! I love it.
If you have a larger collection, just buy this box (or multiples of it), you won't be disappointed!
