the case is nice, just as pictured
PROBLEM: the watch holder itself is hard oval... its fixed in size, so if your watch band/strap isnt sized perfectly to it, it wont wrap the holder snugly... and thus will sit lose inside the box.
if they replaced the hard oval with a soft watch pillow, would get 5*
good value otherwise

This watch box is covered with cheap plastic, not leather as advertised. The plastic is stamped to look like leather. And the plastic is glued to the watch box so you can see glue coming out of the seams.

Love this display case. It looks better in person than in the photo. I have (losing count) watches and my husband is going on (x) and my 10-year- old-daughter has (more than any 10 year old should have) watches. I keep 2 of my watches (let all the others die) in an automatic watch winder and both my husband and daughter love that I have an organized and beautiful place to keep my watches that they have decided to take over some of the space in this case. Luckily there is a key to lock the thing, but I have yet to use it. All in all, it is beautiful, the glass is not heavy, so be careful when you clean it because I'm not sure if it's real glass. The pillows are a bit small but there is plenty of room so your watch dials shouldn't be hitting the display "glass."

I brought this as a gift for my 18 year old grandson. I would recommend this for any one who likes and cares for their watches. My daughter had asked for a watch case for Christmas, I had never looked for nor prices this such item and therefore started searching the web. I did purchase my daughter a case through Amazon by Tech Swiss but a 20 watch storage case and returned to buy this one. Amazon is a site that I trust and Tech Swiss is a site I will bookmark for future purchases.
The pouches used to hold the watches are firm but soft and bendable to hold even a small banded watch. The color is neutral which goes well with everything and is lovely to display. The case is padded to protect your furnture. What a great idea for the person who collect watches.

I really like this case. I saw a number of reviews remarking on how hard the inserts (pillows) are, but I felt that while they are quite firm, they are soft enough to keep from scratching, and to hold the watch securely in its slot. The construction seems good, all the hinges and hardware are securely attached and the seams are secure. Lid opens and latches smoothly and the top fits the bottom correctly. My only real quibble: there is only one key, so don't loose it!
