Each turntable, offers 2 settings that operate clockwise or combination of both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. The first setting Mode I is for watches that require 4320 turns per day. In mode I, the winder will turn clockwise for 20 minutes and will rest for 40 minutes. The second II mode setting is for watches that require 4750 turns per day. In mode II, the winder will alternate clockwise and counterclockwise rotation every 15 seconds, then rest for 40 minutes. To find how many turns per day your watch requires, refer to your watch manual. The winder offers a gear bearing motor which makes the winder extremely "quiet." The wood exterior has a beautiful high gloss cherry finish and the interior is composed of a plush beige fabric. This model also offers a sloped inlaid glass for viewing timepieces. The product seems to be very well constructed. My only problem after using for 2 weeks is that out of the five watches (Rolex, Tag) the angle of the turntables are not steep enough to actually keep the watches internal pendulums swinging. 1 out of my 5 watches stopped keeping time after only one days usage. Now my remedy for this shortcoming was to tilt (prop up) the back of the winder approximately 10-15 degrees. So far none of my watches have stopped after doing this after 10 days. The builder of this very nice winder, I hope reads this and maybe redesigns this into future models. By the way this problem occurred in both program modes.
